Tangkahan is an exceptionally beautiful place located in the Leuser eco system.  Characterised by crystal clear river water, waterfalls, hotsprings,clean air and a lush tropical forest, alive with the sounds of monkeys,birds and insects.

 

It is not a village . There is no village of Tangkahan - it is a beach- Tangkahan Pantai is a World Heritage Site. It is located about 2 kilometres  from the Karo villages of Kwala Gemoh and Kwala Buluh and abot 80 k from medan the provincial capital.

Bambu River Guest House is located across the river from the arrival point. You can cross  bridge(new) or by raft, whatever you do you have to cross. it is isolated from the road ,the village and plantations.
